Experiences in international cooperation activities of Japan

  • In sewerage industry, with a focus on Thailand and other Asian countries, in order to instruct technologies and to train engineers on sewerage planning and operation/maintenance of sewage treatment plants, many staffs were sent as experts for a long period from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MLIT), local authorities and Japan Sewage Works Agency (JS). They have been implementing sewage facilities in plans.

  • Focussing to solving the problems relating to water / sanitation in the world and also to encourage the measures against global warming issues, gthe global centre of sewage worksh (tentative name) will be established with cooperation of industry, university and government, in order to propose and prevalent gthe sustainable sewage systemh with applying rich experiences and various technologies of Japan.
