The Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Mr. Akihiro Ohta, received a courtesy visit from His Excellency Dr. Olumuyiwa Benard Aliu, President of the Council, International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
On September 9, 2014, the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Mr. Akihiro Ohta, received a courtesy visit from His Excellency Dr. Olumuyiwa Benard Aliu, President of the Council, International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
Minister Ohta and President Aliu reconfirmed the importance of the activities of ICAO toward the development of international civil aviation. They also exchanged views on issues such as efforts to keep the balance between safety and efficiency in developing international civil aviation, technical and human resource assistances to developing countries, and contribution to ICAO in human resources.
During his visit to Japan, President Aliu had tours to Haneda Airport, Chubu Centrair International Airport, and the factory of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, where Mitsubishi Regional Jets (MRJ) are being manufactured.
