On 6th September 2016, Mr. Keiichi Ishii, Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT), received a courtesy visit from H.E. U Phyo Min Thein, Chief Minister of Yangon Region Government, Republic of the Union of Myanmar. The Minister and the Chief Minister exchanged views on urban traffic/development problems which Yangon Region Government is facing, and on future development of infrastructure in Yangon Region. They also confirmed that MLIT and Yangon Region Government will continue its cooperation in fields such as urban development and development of public transport to make Yangon Region into a more attractive city.
