State Minister Suematsu received a courtesy visit from Mr. Attah, Minister of Roads and Highways, Republic of Ghana (2017/6/6)

On 6th June 2017, Mr. Shinsuke Suematsu, State Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, received a courtesy visit from Mr. Kwasi Amoako-Attah, Minister of Roads and Highways of the Republic of Ghana. Later, Mr. Suematsu was joined by member companies of the Japan-Africa Infrastructure Development Association (JAIDA) to exchange views with government officials from Ghana and Ethiopia.
 
Mr. Suematsu and Mr. Attah met for the first time since the public-private infrastructure conference held last month in Ghana. In accordance with the memorandum of understanding signed at the conference on the promotion of "high-quality infrastructure investment" and on the continuation of the cooperative relationship, they exchanged views on the infrastructure field and confirmed that both countries would deepen the cooperative relationship.
 
Mr. Suematsu also attended a meeting held for dialog between government officials from Ghana and Ethiopia and JAIDA member companies, where he reiterated the importance of "high-quality infrastructure" advocated by Japan and introduced the member companies. Both sides engaged in lively discussions on the infrastructure field, making this meeting a valuable opportunity to advance Japan-Ghana and Japan-Ethiopia cooperative relations.
