H.E. Minister Ishii received a courtesy visit from the Ambassador of the French Republic to Japan, His Excellency Mr. Laurent Pic. H.E. Minister Ishii stated that he would like continuing cooperation regarding the Special Economic Zone of Kenya and Mombasa project in Africa, Japan-France collaborative construction in third country development, and the opening of the main routes. H.E. Ambassador Pic made remarks regarding the high interest in the infrastructure including the airports of French companies and cooperation in the aviation field for the expansion of tourism exchange between Japan and France. In addition, the building of stronger bilateral relationships through cooperation in fields such as global warming countermeasures according to the Paris Agreement, urban policy, housing construction, public transportation and so on were confirmed.
