International Maritime Seminar

The seminar on "Maritime’s Green Frontier" and "Deep Sea Innovation" was held on April 9, 2014 in Tokyo and was attended by the experts VIPs of major offshore and maritime business and the international organization, and also high level government officials of Norway and Japan including Ms. Dilek Ayhan, State Secretary, Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries (MTIF) of Norway, Mr. Ryuji Masuno, Vice-Minister for International Affairs of MLIT and Mr. Toshiya Morishige, Director-General of MLIT.
                                                                                                                             
The presentation of Mr. Morishige touched upon the concept of Maritime Green Frontier and especially focused on productivity, innovation, market creation. In this context, he reviewed the history of the shipbuilding and shipping and the further potential market such as LNG-fueled ships, floating wind turbine, floating desalination plant, and he emphasized the importance of the reduction of GHG emission through the promotion of  Green Ship.

Environmental Technology Seminar

Japanese shipbuilding and ship machinery industries have developed environmental technologies for the green ship. “Environmental Technology Seminar” was held as one of major seminars at SEA JAPAN 2014 on April 11, 2014, cosponsored by MLIT, Nippon Kaiji Kyokai and Japan Ship Machinery & Equipment Association. The cutting edge technologies were presented by Japanese leading companies and this seminar was very well attended.
