Aeronautical Consultations between Japan and Ethiopia

The consultations between the aeronautical authorities of Japan and Ethiopia were
held in Tokyo, Japan, on 2 and 3 December 2013. The outline of the meeting is as
follows:

1. Delegations
  From the Japanese side, Mr. Yuji Yanagisawa, Chief Air Talks Officer, Air
  Talks Office, Civil Aviation Bureau, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport
  and Tourism (Delegation Head), and other representatives attended the
  meeting.

  From the Ethiopian side, Mr. Gobena Guangul, Deputy Director General,
  Aviation Regulation, Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority (Delegation Head), and
  other representatives attended the meeting.

2. Summary of the Outcome
  (1) Frequency set at Narita International Airport, seven (7) flights per week.
  (2) Liberalized code sharing framework was established from the standpoint
  of expanding operational flexibility for the airlines of Japan and Ethiopia.
