The Third Japan-Qatar seminar on Infrastructure Project in Qatar
(Outline of Results)

1) Outline

     In the Joint Statement on strengthening of comprehensive partnership for the stability and prosperity between Japan and the State of Qatar which was adopted at the time of Prime Minister Abe’s visit to the State of Qatar, the Qatari side has appreciated the start of the discussion for the 3rd Seminar on Infrastructure following the 1st seminar in January, 2012 and the 2nd in February, 2013. 

     Toward FIFA World Cup 2022 in Doha, A number of Infrastructure development projects such as stadiums, metros and roads are planned by the government in Qatar. This Seminar aims to contribute to the success of the FIFA World Cup 2022 and further development of the State of Qatar, and to assist and encourage further business activities of the Japanese construction companies in Qatar.

     The Seminar, with approximately 130 attendees, began with opening remarks from several stakeholders. Japanese private companies introduced their technologies and achievements of their stadiums and railways, and Qatari side also had their presentations.
