   (2) High Level Session by the related organizations (PM)
         Based on the theme of “Quality Infrastructure ”, “Enhancement of the Connectivity in Africa”,
         and “Realization of Sustainable Cities in Africa,” speeches and panel discussions will be delivered
         by the high officials from MLIT, JAIDA, the African governments, and the international organizations.

＜Notice＞
From August 28 to 29, an inspection tour on the themes of “Quality Infrastructure”,
and “Sustainable Cities” will be held for attendees from African countries.
The participants to the tour will be limited to senior officials from Africa.

*(1) TICAD stands for Tokyo International Conference on African Development. The government of Japan has been leading this conference since 1993, co-hosted by United Nations, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), World Bank and African Union Commission (AUC). The next TICAD will be held on 28th - 30th August, 2019 at Pacifico Yokohama, Yokohama city, Japan.
*(2)After the “TICAD6 Africa-Japan Public-Private Conference for High-Quality Infrastructure” (August 26th-27th, 2016), the “Japan-Africa Infrastructure Development Association (JAIDA)” was established in September 2016. JAIDA aims to continuously and actively provide information about Japanese technologies and experiences of “High-Quality Infrastructure” to African countries, and build and promote relationship with public and private sectors both in Africa and Japan.
