Introduction to coastal measures

  Actively promoting the creation of coasts, including Japan's "white sand and green pine tree" coasts
  The bureau promotes coastal maintenance works such as the Eco-Coast Program, which contributes to the development of safe local areas and actively preserves the natural environment, and the creation of white sand and green pine tree coastal areas.
   Actively promotes nature-rich ocean and forest construction measures and projects (creation of white sand and green pine tree coasts) to create the beautiful white sand and green pine forest coasts cultivated by Japan's history and climate.
   Promotes the Eco-Coast Program, which further harmonizes nature and human safety through preservation of ecosystems and the natural environment.
   Promotes effective, efficient erosion measures as well as environmental recycling-oriented coastal works, such as environment-friendly sand bypass works and sand recycling projects

  Promotes creation of wide-area coastal environments that reflect consideration of citizen use and barrier-free access, and creation of coasts linked to local society and activities.
   Implements projects such as coastal works linked to highly urgent social projects, such as national athletic events and model projects for promotion of beach use.
   Promotes creation of coastal environments that are easy for all individuals visiting the coast to use, by offering easy and barrier-free beach access.
   Promotes coastal creation works linked to local social activities and facilities improvements such as education, welfare and health, including harbor and urban redevelopment, Iki-Iki Umi no Ko Hamazukuri, and green, healthy sea areas (healthy coast works).
