Effective Utilization of Government Facilities Stock

As the number of facilities more than 30 years old increases in the coming years, it is considered that the costs of maintaining, managing, and renewing the facilities will increase.
Therefore, it is important to appropriately and efficiently manage, maintain, and improve the facilities so that the buildings can be utilized as good quality stock.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport provides guidance in maintaining facilities to all government bodies through the "Technical Standards for Maintaining Government Facilities." In addition, the ministry has established the "Innovative Management Method for Existing Government Buildings" as a comprehensive and organically-linked set of maintenance technologies, and is working to promote these technologies to ensure that government facilities are more efficiently maintained.
