FORMAL SAFETY ASSESSMENT (FSA)

OF BULK CARRIER SAFETY

 

 

This web page presents a series of the reports of FSA study on bulk carrier safety carried out by Japan, where main report is MSC75/5/2 followed 7 Annexes.

 

The focus of the study has been on the water ingress to cargo holds and/or structural failures of a typical bulk carrier, which is constructed generally with single deck, topside tanks and hopper side tanks in cargo spaces.
