The 4th WORLD CONGRESS on ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems) was held from October 21 to 24, 1997 in Berlin. The atttendee from Japanese Ministry of Transport were Mr. KAYAHARA (Vice-Minister for Technical Affairs), Mr. NAKAYAMA (Director of Vehicle and Component Approvals Division, Road Transport Bureau) and Mr. BABASAKI (Deputy-Director of Planning Division, Road Transport Bureau).
Mr. KAYAHARA actively explained the activity of the introduction of ITS into Japan and Asia-Pacific, Mr. NAKAYAMA lectured about the activity on ASV (Advanced Safety Vehicle) and distributed pamphlets of ASV.
