Nagoya Port(area:CHUBU/AICHI)

Cities Spring Summer Autumn Winter

As the home territory of the powerful Owari Tokugawa Clan, Nagoya developed into an important city at the heart of the Tokai Region. At Nagoya Castle, which is adorned with the golden shachihoko (a mythological beast with the head of a tiger and the body of a carp) that are said to be the symbol of the castle, parts of the Honmaru Palace are open while it undergoes renovation and the pleasing scent of the Kiso Hinoki cypress adds to the luxurious atmosphere befitting a palace. Along with other famous historical sites such as Atsuta Shrine, which is approaching the 1,900th anniversary of its founding, there are many opportunities for the visitor to Nagoya to experience the modern side of Nagoya as well as Japan’s first LEGOLAND? Japan opened in April 2017 at Kinjo Pier. Nagoya delicacies such as Hitsumabushi and Tebasaki chicken wings are also known and celebrated across the whole of Japan.
Garden Pier and Kinjo Pier, where cruise vessels berth, has convenient access to the downtown area by subway or railway from nearby stations.
