Parliamentary Vice-Minister of the MLIT, Hisayuki Fujii, Attended the Inaugural Meeting of the Sake Brewery Tourism Promotion Council

 In 2016, the Japan Tourism Agency launched a “topic-focused” regional tourism promotion program whose topics include sake brewery tourism. On Tuesday, November 1, 2016, the inaugural meeting of the Sake Brewery Tourism Promotion Council was held, with the attendance of Parliamentary Vice-Minister Fujii. In delivering his remarks, Parliamentary Vice-Minister Fujii noted that “tourism is the key for regional revitalization.” He continued, “Annual overseas visitors have exceeded 20 million people. We will support sake brewery tourism towards achieving the new target of 40 million visitors by 2020.”
