In order to improve Japan’s international image following the Great East Japan Earthquake and to prevent the spread of harmful rumors, this project enhances the capacity of Japan’s global information transmission by increasing the number of internationally broadcasted programs currently being carried out in English out by affiliated companies of NHK, targeting foreign citizens residing abroad.
In addition, the project aims to transmit more precise and balanced information to the global community using video content co-produced by Japanese, and overseas broadcasting companies and production offices.
