We made an announcement in July 2019 that the general counter set up by the government will conduct in an integrated fashion the slot coordination for non-regular services at Narita International Airport, Tokyo International Airport (Haneda), Ibaraki Airport, New Chitose Airport, Chubu International Airport and Sendai Airport during the period of Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics, and we have already received a number of requests for slot coordination.
However, it was recently decided to postpone the Olympic and Paralympic games in view of the globally spreading New Coronavirus Infection. In this context, we have no option but to temporarily cancel all requests for non-regular services and our responses to them regarding the preliminary special coordination, special coordination and ad-hoc coordination for the Olympic and Paralympic period, and to call off receiving requests for ad-hoc coordination in April 2020 and thereafter.
Therefore, we would appreciate it if you could take the trouble to contact again the respective airport offices following the usual coordination procedures for your planned flights to the above airports from July to September 2020.
We will again inform you how to deal with your slot requests during the renewed period of the postponed Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic games when the timing is finalized.
