The Green Mover tram, introduced as a barrier-free low-floor transportation mode in Hiroshima City, has been well received by users, and demand to increase the number of daily services from four at present is increasing.
The Green Mover is fitted with a location positioning GPS device and a communication apparatus, allowing its location and predicted arrival time to be provided to users via personal computer or mobile phone connected to the Internet. This enables the users to obtain information on the tram whether at home or on the move, and the waiting time at the stop to be minimized, for effective use of the transport system.
