The Hitachi City Bus operation information system was tested from July 2004 to March 2005, and its effectiveness was revealed by a questionnaire survey. Another test was being conducted from July 2005 to March 2006 on the 8 routes previously tested plus 5 new bus routes that substitute the Hitachi Railway.
