In the eastern area of Tottori, one of the areas with the heaviest snowfall, effective snow-clearing work is requested to speedily secure the transport function. Therefore, information on accurate location, speed and condition of snow-clearing work is collected from snow-clearing vehicles with in-vehicle GPS unit and is transmitted to a personal computer in the office to promote efficient snow-clearing works.
The information on snow-clearing work and snowfall is provided through Internet and CATV.
