Unmanned and cash-less toll collection at dedicated ETC interchanges (Smart Interchanges) will reduce the costs of operating toll gates. Smart Interchanges require only small structures and land areas, reducing the construction cost.
Existing service and parking areas can also be used as interchanges by connecting service and parking areas with ordinary roads and installing ETC gates at the entrances.
Smart Interchanges will not only improve the convenience of using expressways but also revitalize the economy of regional communities that have no interchanges, by providing access to expressways.
