Concerning the Joint Venture System

What is a Joint Venture?

A joint venture (JV)
refers to a business entity established for the purpose of several construction business operators jointly accepting and conducting one project, as opposed to the usual case where one construction business operator accepts and conducts a project alone.
Special Construction Joint Venture (Special JV)
This refers to a joint venture established on a per project basis in the case of a large scale or technically difficult project of a size and type of construction work necessitating a joint venture to secure stable execution of the work through concentration of technical skills.
Ordinary Construction Joint Venture (Ordinary JV)
This refers to a joint venture established by small and middle-sized construction business operators for the purpose of strengthening operating and project execution potential through secure and continuous business relations. A joint venture is formed as an Ordinary JV at the time of application for a contracting body's qualification evaluation for tendering participation (generally at the beginning of a financial year) and is registered for a set duration as a qualified person as if it were an individual company.
