Based on the "Law concerning proper tendering and contracting for public works" (hereafter called the "Act for Promoting Proper Tendering and Contracting for Public Works"), a survey is conducted once per fiscal year on the situation of efforts concerning the reasonability of tenders of contracting organizations for public works. Furthermore, based on the "Law to secure the quality of public works," a survey is also conducted on the situation of efforts concerning "the basic tendency to comprehensively promote measures to facilitate securing of the quality of public works."
Today, we present the results of the survey for fiscal 2007 in conjunction with another new public announcement, the situation concerning completion of work applicable nationally and to prefectures, cities, and special districts with a population of 50,000 or more, and the policies being initiated starting at the beginning of fiscal 2008.
