Background and purpose
The oil disaster caused by increasing number of supertanker in the Southeastern Asian peripheral sea area wreak serious marine environmental pollution.Once big oil disaster occures, surrounding ocean area will suffer serious environmental pollution.
It is necessary to prepare for the oil spillage accident and establish precise oil removal system and an antipollution measure with surrounding countries. However, there aren't enough knowledge and technology to maintain these things in the Southeast Asian coutries .Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Japan Coast Guard support to make an effective emergency plan on regional scales for different countries.
And we reinforce the oil removal system in Asian countries and preserve marine environment.

Conducted assistance for emergency response plan in the regional scales from 2001 to 2004.
