About Japan Construction International Award
Japan’s “quality infrastructure”
Japanese companies are involved in the design, execution and other works of various quality infrastructures including real estate developments around the world, and they have fully demonstrated their excellent know-how and technological capabilities while contributing to the sustainable developments of countries around the globe through human resource development and technology transfer. The sincerity and technical capabilities of Japanese companies have earned them a high level of trust overseas.
Japan Construction International Award
In 2017, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism established the “Japan Construction International Award (Honored by the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism),” which commends (1) “Quality Infrastructure” projects that Japanese companies have participated overseas, (2) small and medium-sized construction-related companies which are pioneers in their overseas business, and (3) pioneering activities such as research and development and capacity building that contribute to the realization of “Quality Infrastructure” abroad. Through this award, we aim to further promote “Quality Infrastructure” and strengthen the presence of Japanese companies in overseas markets. Moreover, by showcasing highly acclaimed construction and development projects and Japanese companies that are performing well overseas, we hope to raise the interests of the younger generation towards working in the construction or real estate industry.
