Press Release

Result of Acceptance and Listing of Proposals for Emergency Temporary Housing Using Imported Materials

2011/5/9

We would like to announce that we have accepted and listed proposals for emergency temporary housing using imported materials (i.e. housing units, etc. produced in foreign countries) at the request of the affected prefectures which will order emergency temporary housing.

This listing service was carried out by the Federation of Housing and Community Centers (hereinafter “Federation”) with the support of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) of Japan at the request of Iwate, Miyagi and Fukushima Prefectures. The Federation has accepted proposals, prepared a list of applicants, and presented the list to the affected prefectures for the purpose of providing assistance for their procurement of temporary housing. (Please note that the listing of a proposal is not directly linked with an order or a contract; Listed proposals may be rejected by the prefectures.)
The result of the acceptance is shown below, and the list has been forwarded to the three affected prefectural governments as of today. Based on the presented list, the three prefectural governments will judge and take decisions, including whether they choose the proposal or not, according to overall evaluation of proposals.

・ Period of acceptance of proposals
