State Minister Iwai made opening remarks for a webinar titled “Infrastructure Development in Asia through Singapore-Japan Company Cooperation” (2021/03/05)

On Marth 5, Mr. Shigeki Iwai, State Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, make opening remarks for a webinar titled “Infrastructure Development in Asia through Singapore-Japan Company Cooperation” which was co-organised by Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan (MLIT) and a Singapore governmental organization Infrastructure Asia (InfraAsia).
 
Mr. Iwai said, “InfraAsia and MLIT launched an initiative last year to promote deeper partnerships between Japanese and Singapore-based companies and to support infrastructure development in third countries. Today, an MOC will be signed between InfraAsia and MLIT. Through this MOC, MLIT will work even more closely with InfraAsia to support companies in both countries.”
 
Ms. Indranee Rajah, Minister in Prime Minister's Office, Second Minister for Finance and Second Minister for National Development, Mr. Peter Tan, Ambassador of Singapore to Japan, and Mr. Jun Yamazaki, Ambassador of Japan to Singapore, are also made opening remarks with their expectations towards further Singapore-Japan cooperations.
 
Witnessed by those who made opening remarks, Dr. Yasuhiro Ishihara, Deputy Minister for International Projects of MLIT, and Mr. Seth Tan, Executive Director of Infrastructure Asia signed the MOC between MLIT and InfraAsia to promote partnerships between Japanese and Singapore-based companies for third country cooperation on infrastructure projects.
