In preparation for the entry into force of the Ship Recycling Convention (Hong Kong Convention: HKC), the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) is working to improve occupational safety and environmental pollution countermeasures in the ship recycling industry in Bangladesh, with the aim of the country's early ratification of the HKC.
For this reason, we conducted a monitoring survey about a ship recycling yard in Bangladesh in FY2021.
