Tokyo, 11 December 2025 – The Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) in the field of Smart Cities was signed between the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) of Japan and Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) of the Republic of India.     Under this MoC, both parties will work together to advance initiatives for smart city projects in Thane District. This cooperation is expected to foster innovation in urban development, improve infrastructure efficiency, and enhance the quality of life for residents.
