Hokkaido development planning expense
is the cost for conducting investigation necessary for planning and promoting
the comprehensive Hokkaido development planning.
To date, to contribute to the planning and promotion of the
Hokkaido Comprehensive Development Plan covering the period from the 1st
to the 6th terms, research of the vast area of Hokkaido was conducted to
accumulate basic economic statistics of the region including inter-industrial
relation tables and investment track records, and research of the basic
economic social structure and industry promotion and development.
In recent years, together with promoting principal measures
of the 6th term Hokkaido Comprehensive Development Plan, this research has
also contributed to recovery from severe economic conditions and created
jobs. Furthermore, aimed at creating an independent Hokkaido economy, the
effort has nurtured new industries that harness the special features of
Hokkaido and tackled pioneering / experimental projects. Also, using the
results and know-how gained from previous investigations of related administrative
organs, the Hokkaido local economic society alliances, etc., created a system
for conducting research effectively presupposing the realization of results
of research at an early stage. |
