The Japan Tourism Agency (JTA) will promote the attraction of London Olympic Games qualifying round in cooperation with the Japan Hockey Association

The JTA handed the recommendation letter for holding the qualifying round competition to the Japan Hockey Association which decided to bid for the holding of London Olympic Games qualifying round. We expect that showing national commitment to the attraction would help the organizers to choose Japan as a place to hold the competition.
In the meeting of the two parties, the Japan Hockey Association’s President told that the competition would be managed in cooperation with the local community as a sport rooted in the region and that the association will bid for a larger-scale competition after making this competition a big success.
The JPA will promote sports tourism by attracting this competition in cooperation with the Japan Hockey Association because it coincides with the philosophy of “sports tourism.”
