Last Update : 2011/7/29
The Japan Tourism Agency calls for “research papers on empirical analysis utilizing tourism statistics” for the purpose of encouraging future researchers of tourism policies to conduct studies and promoting an active utilization of tourism statistics for planning of tourism policies and reviewing their achievements.
The research papers that include market/industry analyses and consumption behavior analyses related to the tourist travel as well as surveys and outcome analyses of tourism promotion measures will be qualified. Those research papers judged to have significantly contributed to various activities related to tourism by the national government, local governments, tourism business operators and related organizations will be awarded “the Commissioner Prize” by the Commissioner of the Japan Tourism Agency and “the Review Board Prize” by the Review Board.
