5. Main Outcomes:
As well as reaffirming the role of tourism as a driver of economic growth and contributor to the SDGs, opinions were exchanged on mutual issues such as tourism management that contributes to tourists and regional communities, and innovations and advanced technologies that promote sustainable tourism. As a result, based on these discussions, the Ministerial Declaration (see Appendix 1) was adopted.
Japanese Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism AKABA Kazuyoshi and Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Land Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism WADA Masamune had bilateral talks with all of the tourism ministers in attendance to discuss the advancement of bilateral tourism relations.
