| Port of Numazu is located at the far end of the Suruga bay. It is about 10 minutes by bus to JR Numazu station in the central city area of Numazu-shi. Moreover, it is also the gateway to Nishiizu, and Toda can be reached in 30 minutes by high speed boat and Toi 55 minutes. “Byuuo” a large scale sluice gate located in the port offers, 360-degree panoramic scenes of famous place, such as Mt.Fuji and the Suruga bay from a view corridor which stands about 30m above ground. Moreover, one of the nation’s leading fish markets is found here. And there are over 30 restaurants and souvenir stores where fresh fish can be tasted. |

| The Numazu Imperial Villa was erected in Meiji 26, and was used in the Meiji, Taisho, and Showa eras. In Showa 44 it was transformed into the and is mostly as a Numazu Imperial Villa commemoration park. The Ose festival and the Uchiura fishing port festival take place on April 4 every year, in which men dressed in women’s clothes come on board a boat afloat in the harbor, and then later gathers at Uchiura fishing port for a parade. |
