The World Water Council (WWC) was established in 1996 as a comprehensive water think tank by governments, international organizations, academics, businesses, and NGOs from around the world. The World Water Forum (WWF), which is operated by the WWC, is held once every three years and serves as a forum for various stakeholders to provide information and make policy proposals on water issues that are becoming increasingly serious on a global scale.
