The socio-economic trends in Japanese infrastructure management and transport policies are changing drastically owing to such factors as aging of population, internationalization, and diversification of people’s value, etc.
Therefore, in order to further promote infrastructure management and transport policies to ensure the true “wealth” of the people’s life in Japan, it is necessary to develop policies which correspond adequately to such drastic changes of socio-economic trends from a long-term viewpoint .
