Research on passenger transportation services which meet needs of the elderly（Report No.152）

Summary

As aging of population progresses, transportation services by volunteering groups that complement public transportation are also expected to increase in importance in the future.
. In this research, questionnaire and interview surveys were conducted over NPO groups offering passenger transportation service with private cars under the Act or Notice. Every cases are categorized in patterns defined in Road Transportation Act, as well as identified variety of operation, issues, and countermeasures for providing sustainable services for each type.
