AHS (Advanced Cruise-Assist Highway Systems) for Safe and Comfortable Driving Condition

Deployment of new IT to reduce traffic accidents

Reducing two thirds of accidents with the rear-end collision warning system

Example of utilization of real-time collected information

On National Highway No. 25, the rear-end collision warning system has been implemented to warn of accidents at blind curves ahead, and has reduced accidents by two thirds. This Infrastructure-based System effectively reduces accidents, and introduction of a Cooperative Vehicle-Highway Systems will further reduce accidents.
