Japanese efforts to solve international water issues |

Outline: |
The positions of the Japanese government with respect to the internationally debated, water-related issues were explained. Concrete measures being taken, such as the establishment of the International Center for Water Hazard and Risk Management under the auspices of UNESCO and the Network of Asian River Basin Organizations, were reported, and the international seminar on integrated water resources management to be held in Japan in December 2005 was introduced.
