Ariake Wastewater Treatment Plant and the site of the Shinden area(Adachi Ward) redevelopment project implemented by Urban Renaissance Agency were visited to see examples of ongoing urban environment and urban disaster prevention efforts in Japan. The tour included a ride in a water bus to see how the waterfront along the Sumida River is being developed.
