北東アジア標準協力フォーラム（第9回：2010年7月）（※）の合意に基づき、日中韓の3カ国の標準化活動の協力を推進することを目的として「都市における再生水利用に関する北東アジア協力会議 (通称RWUUA会議) 」を立ち上げ、アジア地域のみならず世界的な水問題の解決に向け、日中韓３国の主導により、下水再生水を安全に利用するための国際規格作りが検討されている。
※日中韓の三国間での標準化活動の協力を推進し、共同で国際標準化の基盤の整備、標準規格開発、共同提案及び標準規格の普及に取り組み、アジア地域での一層の標準化活動に資することを目的とした会合。

●Meeting of Reclaimed Wastewater Use in Urban Area in Northeast Asia Standards Cooperation Forum

　Meeting of the Reclaimed Wastewater Use in Urban Area (Meeting of RWUUA) was established based on the tripartite agreement which was concluded among Japan, China and Korea in the 9th Northeast Asia Standards Cooperation Forum* in July, 2010. In the Meeting of RWUUA, activities have been continued with the aim to address water-related issues in the world including Asia in particular by collaboratively taking the initiative in developing international standards for safe use of reclaimed water.

*Northeast Asia Standards Cooperation Forum is intended to contribute to further standardization activities in Asia. This forum promotes standardization activities, arrangement platform of standardization, development, proposal and dissemination of standards in cooperation among the three countries of Japan, China and Korea.
