8,386.5 billion, a 0.4% decrease from the previous fiscal year, owing to the
severe financial situation (Table

@ @Investment in transport-related facilities by private transport operators
(in principle, corporations with capital of 50 million or more) totaled 1,616.1
billion, an 8.5% increase over the previous fiscal year. Although the rate of
increase fell, the investment continued to expand mainly in the ocean-going
shipping, shipbuilding and hotel industries (Table
7).
