Traffic-related public investments for FY1989 showed a tendency to level
off, totaling \11.130 trillion, up 1.9 percent from the previous fiscal year.
On the other hand, transport-related private equipment investments totaled \2,794,500,000,000
on a construction work basis, an impressive increase of 31.3 percent over the
preceding fiscal year.
