1. Efforts toward Greater Exchange and New Regional Development


@ @ The Ministry will promote the development of international container terminals to improve the efficiency and cut the cost of foreign freight transportation, etc. A series of studies will be carried out to promote exchanges and cooperations among coastal regions. To also advance regional development, measures will be taken which include private participation projects and for the redevelopment projects of coastal areas.

2. Creation of a Pleasant Port Environment and Efforts for Technological Development


@ @ Specific programs are being implemented to build ports and coastal facilities harmonious with the environment, as seen in the construction of "Eco-port" under the "Port Environment Plan." Technologies are also being developed to ensure the safety of port facilities and raise their operational efficiency.
