Vehicle Information and Communication System (VICS)

VICS installation on 30% of expressways reduces economic loss due to traffic congestion by 6%

If 20% of the existing metropolitan expressways are fitted with VICS, traffic congestion on them can be reduced by 10%, and if 30% of all expressways in Japan are fitted with VICS, economic loss due to congestion can be reduced by 6%.
