AHS (Advanced Cruise-Assist Highway Systems) for Safe and Comfortable Driving Condition

AHS proving Tests

Principal systems verified in the proving tests on actual roads

Support for detecting forward standing and slow vehicles

Roadside infrastructure provides information about standing and slow vehicles up ahead and congestion to vehicles that are approaching blind curves, to avoid collision due to delay in recognition. The vehicles that receive the information from the infrastructure quickly communicate the clear information about the approaching blind curve to the driver by voice or image depending on the driving conditions.

Support for prevention of overshooting on curve

Roadside infrastructure communicates the existence of and the distance to a curve, and road shape information to vehicles to avoid contact or collision against side walls, etc. due to over speeding. The vehicles that receive the information from the infrastructure then clearly communicate appropriate information at the optimum time to the driver by voice or image depending on the driving conditions.
