-Concerning the treatment of personal information-
 
【Use of personal information regarding applications for construction work permits】
The Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism uses the personal information gained from applications for construction work permits submitted according to Article 3 of the Construction Industry Law [including the documents attached to the permit application form according to Article 6 and other submitted documents such as permit change forms according to Article 11 (including matters complying to Article 17); hereafter referred to as "permit application forms"] and discloses it to third parties for the following purposes.
 
1. Inspection of permit application forms (including cases where they are used mutually for permit inspections conducted by the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism or prefectural governors)
2. Guidance and supervision of construction business permit holders
3. Reading of permit application forms
4. Disclosure of information required when a citizen, the national government, or a legal entity, as regulated by Construction Industry Law Enforcement Ordinance Article 27/2, invites tenders for construction work
5. Use or disclosure in compliance with Article 8, Clause 2, of the Act for the Protection of Personal Information in the Possession of an Administrative Agency in the following cases:
(1) With the consent of the person in question or when the disclosure is to be made to the person in question
(2) Utilization within the limits required to accomplish affairs under the jurisdiction determined by an ordinance of the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism
(3) Utilization within the limits required by other administrative agencies, independent administrative institutions, regional governments, or independent regional administrative institutions to accomplish work as determined by law
(4) Disclosure exclusively for academic research and statistics
(5) If disclosure to persons other than the person in question is for the benefit of the person in question
(6) Disclosure for other special reasons
 
【Use of personal information in regard to applications for management inspections (for evaluation of business scale or comprehensive evaluation)】
The Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism uses the personal information gained from applications for business scale evaluations submitted according to Article 27/26 of the Construction Industry Law and from applications for comprehensive evaluation ratings submitted according to Article 27/29 (hereafter referred to as "management inspection applications") and discloses it to third parties for the following purposes.
 
1. Inspection of applications for management inspection
2. Guidance and supervision of persons who have made an application for management inspection
 
【Use of personal information in regard to the results of a management inspection (for evaluation of business scale or comprehensive evaluation)】
The Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism uses the personal information gained from applications for business size evaluations submitted according to Article 27/26 of the Construction Industry Law and from applications for comprehensive evaluation ratings submitted according to Article 27/29 (hereafter referred to as "management inspection applications") and discloses it to third parties for the following purposes.
 
1. Notifications concerning the results of management inspections to legal entities in accordance with the national government, regional government, and Article 27/2 of the Construction Industry Law (including disclosure through the Public Work Orders Support Database System)
2. Public announcement and inspection of the results of management inspections (public announcements and inspections are the responsibility of the Construction Industry Information Center and are conducted at the same center)
3. Guidance and supervision of persons who have received the results of their management inspection
4. Use or disclosure in compliance with Article 8, Clause 2, of the Act for the Protection of Personal Information in the Possession of an Administrative Agency in the following cases:
(1) With the consent of the person in question or when the disclosure is to be made to the person in question
(2) Utilization within the limits required to accomplish affairs under the jurisdiction determined by an ordinance of the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism
