Tamagawa Dam

〜View the inner workings with same-day applications〜

The Tamagawa Dam has the largest capacity of any multipurpose dam in the Tohoku region.
From the latter half April to the latter half of November, it is possible to view the inner workings of the dam that are not normally visible to the public by making a reservation on the day.

Note 1: Groups of 10 or more people require an application in advance
Note 2: Viewing the inner workings of the dam is only possible from Monday to Friday
Note 3: Viewings may be cancelled in the event of a disaster, etc.

There is a viewing platform at the carillon, which is a symbol of Tamagawa Dam.
From the viewing platform, the expanse of Lake Hosenko appears bluer than the sky. It is definitely worth a look.
Entry is even possible for individuals. The dam’s museum provides explanations and information about the dam’s inner workings.
