Protecting Livelihoods in the Valley Go and See the Dams on the Kuzuryu River!

〜Communing with forests and reservoirs〜

The “Eleven Days for Communing with Forests and Reservoirs” event is usually held on the weekends in late July, and it was crowded with about 1,200 visitors during a two-day period in 2017.
Also being an opportunity to commune with forests and reservoirs and refresh the mind and body, and to reconsider the importance of forests and dams, there are various panel displays and tours of dam embankments and a power plant, both which normally cannot be seen.
At the Managawa Dam, you can see the inside of the dam embankment, which is cool even in the summer, and see closely the large fountain that spouts high into the sky using the water pressure from the dam lake.
At the Kuzuryu Dam, you can get panoramic views from the surface of the lake during power plant tours and water patrols.
There are plenty of things to do for everyone, from children to adults, to learn more about and enjoy the dam.
