〜Visit the Kitakyushu City Hiagari Purification Center〜
Our Visitor Center opened in April 2015 as a new center for learning about the sewer system and the environment, and the number of visitors reached the 10,000 mark in June 2017.
This is a hands-on facility that features a diorama theater that uses a massive diorama of Kitakyushu City and projection mapping technology, and also features a machine that lets you experience what heavy rainfall is like (73 mm/hour), as well as outdoor water treatment facilities that you can tour. Manhole cards are given to visitors.
